Student Success and Retention Conference 2025 has ended
Thursday February 13, 2025 1:55pm - 2:55pm PST
In this session, we’ll dive into how our college is stepping up to support students’ diverse needs and creating a more inclusive and equitable environment. From food insecurity to mental health challenges, we’ve worked hard to provide resources like the Food Den, BetterMynd teletherapy, and SNAP/STEP programs, all aimed at helping students thrive academically and personally. We’ll also talk about the training we provide to staff and faculty to make sure they’re equipped to recognize and address these needs, fostering a culture of understanding and support. A big shoutout goes to the Basic Needs Oregon grant, which not only helps us expand our services but also funds part-time student jobs, giving them work experience while supporting their peers. This session will share what’s working, highlight the partnerships we’ve built with the community, and show how we’re addressing barriers like housing, financial stress, and accessibility. Whether you’re curious about the resources, want to learn from our successes, or just want to join the conversation on equity and inclusion, this session is for you. It’s all about finding ways to make sure every student has what they need to succeed, and we’re excited to share our journey with you.
